Illinois Tuition & Fees Have Increased 8.2% Per Year
If your child or grandchild is an Illinois resident and selects an Illinois public university or community college, we pay 100 percent of tuition and mandatory fees for as many 529 plan semesters as you have pre-purchased — no matter how high tuition and fees might have climbed since your date of purchase.
What about private Illinois colleges and out-of-state colleges? If chosen, College Illinois! will pay the mean-weighted average of tuition and fees at comparable public universities or community colleges in Illinois. Each year the mean-weighted average is recalculated, keeping pace with tuition increases.
